for the 15 years i lived in the east village i can without a doubt say that i made more enemies than friends. the bartenders at my local bar were the only people i befriended and my relationship to that establishment was more like "tithing" than actual business / customer transactions .
in contrast, since moving to hudson NY over a year ago, i seem to be on a first name basis with most of the town and have successfully avoided making any enemies...at least for now... the "city" of hudson's population is comparable to a large cruise ship, so even when you do meet someone you haven't exactly "met" before, you still sort of "know them".
one interesting person i have come to know is a talented filmmaker named zia anger. she has a great eye and and lots of drive but like most truly talented people, she sucks at self promotion. she finally got around to making a site and i don't like it at all. i love it!
check out zia anger's website and follow her on Instagram: zfoa
zia just finished a shot film titled, i remember nothing. i happen to get a sneak peak and it's a total LB.......lid blower.
